Famously situated on the sunshine coast, beautiful Eastbourne was voted ‘Best UK Resort 2010′.

Situated on the seafront, enjoying breath-taking sea views and easy access to all local attractions; the Oban Hotel is one of the very best locations for exploring Eastbourne.

In fact we are located in the fashionable West end of Eastbourne with theatre land and the Congress Centre just a two minute walk away!

Directly opposite is the famous ‘Wish Tower’ one of the last two remaining Martello towers built as defence against Napoleonic invasion. The Tower is only a small part of Eastbourne’s rich history. Eastbourne has many historical attractions including ‘The War Museum’, ‘The Heritage Centre’ and ‘How We Lived Then Museum of Shops’.

Eastbourne is proud of it’s Blue Flag Award for litter free beaches, clean water and great facilities!

Home to one of the UK’s largest Marina’s, Eastbourne’s modern Sovereign Harbour has a variety of shops, restaurants and a multiplex cinema for a sophisticated day out.

The high street and Arndale indoor shopping centre are just a ten minute walk away, great for souvenirs or a little retail therapy.

Fort Fun Family Park and Treasure Island Adventure Park are great for kids and adults alike with amusements such as adventure playgrounds, mini golf, and go-karts to keep families amused for hours.

Visit neighbouring Brighton, a bustling city with the awe inspiring and romantic Pavilion being its top attraction.

Sport enthusiasts will find Eastbourne performs well with many fitness facilities and centres to keep you moving, and activities such as swimming, tennis, bowls, golf, skating, cycling and water sports to name a few.

The Dotto Train and open top Double-Decked buses operate regular services along the length of the seafront. Wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties will delight in Eastbourne’s flat terrain and easy accessibility. ‘Shop Mobility’ also hire scooters for hourly use on your holiday.

Infamous Beachy Head is a must see when visiting Eastbourne, the panoramic views from the cliff tops are astonishing, the beautiful Sussex Downs and surrounding countryside are a short drive away and promise yet more to see and do.

Eastbourne enjoys above average sunshine hours and it’s lush Parks and Gardens are proof of this by attracting thousands each year to see their award winning colourful show.

Take a boat trip, spend the day on the beach, visit the Pier and arcades, take in a show, hear and overture at the bandstand, laugh out loud at a comedy club or stop at a gallery. Whatever your holiday expectations, visiting Eastbourne will give you something to write home about…
